Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. Overview

  • Biblios only disseminates research related or linked to any of the areas of Information Sciences.
  • The contributions submit to Biblios must be original and unpublished.
  • You can submit texts in any of the official languages of the journal: Spanish, Portuguese, English.
  • The contribution submit Biblios implies the author's commitment not to submit to the evaluation of other journal. During the process of sending the author must to include the respective Declaration of Originality as supplementary file.
  • Biblios only publishes the following types of contributions: original article, review article and case study.
  • The average time Biblios publication of receipt of the text until approval is 120 days.
  • All contributions that do not pass the peer review, after 30 days of submission, will be automatically archived and released.

2. Extension of contributions

  • Not less than 8 pages (A4 format)

3. Content contributions
 

  • The text should be written according to the rules of grammar and syntax of the language of origin.
  • Biblios suggests the following structure for the contributions:

a) Title.
b) Abstract. Using the structure: Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions (OMRC).
c) Keywords (no less than three nor more than seven).
d) Title, abstract and key in English (compulsory for all items) words.
e) Introduction.
f) Literature review.
g) Methodology.
h) Results.
i) Discussion.
j) Conclusions.
k) Bibliography.
l) Notes: All the notes should go to the end of the text. Footnotes page will not be accepted.

4. Citation a bibiography style  

We accept following citation and bibliography styles:

  • American Psychological Association - APA Style. 
  • Brazilian Association of Technical Standards - ABNT NBR 6023/2002. 
  • International Organization for Standardization - ISO 690.  


5. Presentation format

  • Authors must use the respective Submission Format.
  • Contributions must be submitted in electronic file in DOC format.

 

6. Author information

  • The file with the contribution can not submit any information or specific reference to the authors.
  • The data of the authors must register in the system only during the submission process.
  • All authors must include their ORCID indicating their biography, academic background and publications.

Original

The original article is a written report, with scientific and conceptual rigor, that communicates for the first time the results of a research. It describes fully and concisely the results of original research, containing all the relevant information for those who wish to reproduce the research or assess the results and conclusions.

Review

The review articles are analysis from experts in the field. They are systematic, critical assessments of literature and data sources, aimed at critically reviewing and evaluating the current state of knowledge on a designated topic, in addition to commenting on studies by other authors.

Case report

Presentation of professional experience, based on a study of a peculiar case and succinct comments of interest for the practice of other professionals in the area.
