Repensando la evaluación de la actividad científica

de los costes de los indicadores hegemónicos a la urgencia de modelos inclusivos y multidimensionales

Resumen

Este editorial analiza la necesaria transición de una cultura de evaluación puramente cuantitativa hacia modelos inclusivos y multidimensionales, y se estructura en cuatro ejes. En primer lugar, aborda el papel histórico de los Estudios Métricos en la legitimación de los sistemas de evaluación, defendiendo una postura crítica ante los instrumentos que han asumido funciones normativas sobre el comportamiento científico. Las evidencias analizadas confirman el agotamiento de los modelos hegemónicos y la crisis de representatividad en las bases de datos, haciendo hincapié en los costes de la dependencia de métricas comerciales que descuidan la producción del Sur Global y de las Ciencias Humanas. El texto denuncia cómo la transformación de los indicadores en objetivos de rendimiento compromete la integridad de la investigación, proponiendo vías que valoren el impacto social y la diversidad institucional. Por último, este número especial del 9.º EBBC se inscribe en un debate histórico sobre las métricas, convocando a la comunidad a la corresponsabilidad ética y epistemológica. Repensar las métricas significa reflexionar sobre qué ciencia se desea producir y para quién. La bibliometría, con rigor y sensibilidad crítica, resulta esencial para orientar la producción científica no solo por el recuento, sino por la relevancia ética y el fortalecimiento del ecosistema académico.
