Abstract

Se exponen los principales componentes de las bases de datos como genuinos ejemplos de los sistemas de información histórica, las fuentes de información histórica y su tipología: personales, bibliográficas e institucionales. La presencia de la información histórica en la red Internet es objeto de tratamiento especial así como 1,a exposición de la base de datos de texto completo que contiene las actas de las Juntas Generales de Alava (siglos XV-XIX). Se exponen los principales componentes de las bases de datos como genuinos ejemplos de los sistemas de información histórica, las fuentes de información histórica y su tipología: personales, bibliográficas e institucionales. La presencia de la información histórica en la red Internet es objeto de tratamiento especial así como 1,a exposición de la base de datos de texto completo que contiene las actas de las Juntas Generales de Alava (siglos XV-XIX).

José López Yepes

José López Yepes, Facultad de Ciencias de la Información de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Recientemente estuvo de visita en Perú. El texto de este artículo es un extracto de la Introducción correspondiente al último volumen de la edición de las Actas de las Juntas Generales de Alava (X, 1593- 1599. Vitoria, 1997) y pretende ser la explicación del fundamento mismo de la labor desplegada por las Juntas en la tarea de facilitar a la comunidad científica y social una documentación fundamental para el conocimiento correcto de la institución parlamentaria y, como consecuencia, para el conocimiento del resto de las instituciones políticas, económicas, jurídicas y sociales alavesas en el período estudiado.
