Abstract

Los profesionales de la Historia necesitan acceder al mayor número de fuentes de información relacionadas con sus actividades de investigación. Si antaño el historiador se valía de fuentes de información impresas, hoy en día la situación está cambiando. La presencia de nuevas fuentes de información historiográfica en soporte electrónico y digital ha dado lugar a la creación de las primeras bases de datos históricas que proporcionan un mejor almacenamiento, recuperación y utilización de la información.

José Bernal Rivas Fernández

José Bernal Rivas Fernández, Profesor en la Universidad de Costa Rica, en la especialidad de Archivística. Ha participado en diferentes eventos sobre Archivística y con diversas publicaciones en revistas especializadas de Historia y Archivística, a nivel internacional. Asimismo, forma parte del Consejo editorial de la Revista DIALOGOS.
