Abstract

The present study is a descriptive investigation that intends to know the tasks performed by librarians in Argentinian university libraries, focusing the topic from the viewpoint of labour competence and the present university librarian profile. Through the use of a questionnaire e-mailled to the Argentinian university libraries, data was compiled about the tasks performed by the librarians in those institutions. Data related to the e-mail communication made by university libraries were also compiled during this research study.
