Bibliometrics is the metric specialty that analyzes bibliographical repertories to facilitate to makedecisions. Online scientific publications, generally suport on metric analysis, favoring the description of the journals for continuous improvement. The journal Centro Azúcar has been in evaluation bye databases of international prestige for several years. The publication lacks a metric study that reflects the quality of the online publication with the indicators established by indexing sources. It is presented as objectives of the study to examine the scientific production of the Centro Azúcar journal from 2011 to 2015, examining the references in the mentioned period and identify the editorial endogamy indices present in productivity and references of the articles published by the journal. To obtain results are used methods in the theoretical and empirical levels, standing out bibliometric method. Are identified several aspects that attempt against the quality of the publication. Is aborded in new form the editorial endogamy in the references of the articles published. In the study are mentioned aspects to consider for the publication, to be indexed in databases of international prestige.Downloads
