Bibliotecas públicas em perigo: uma pesquisa sobre a prevenção para a gestão de desastres entre as bibliotecas públicas no noroeste da Nigéria

Resumo

Meta: As atividades destrutivas do homem tornaram-se óbvias nas partes do norte da Nigéria, onde um grupo terrorista conhecido como Boko Haram e os pastores Fulani se envolveram em atividades destrutivas, como queima de igrejas, escolas, bem como destruição de vidas e propriedades em algumas das regiões mais altas. instituições no norte da Nigéria. As bibliotecas e seus recursos também foram afetados em alguns pontos.

Método. Com base na natureza expositiva deste estudo, o uso de metodologia de pesquisa qualitativa e quantitativa foi empregado. A população do estudo consiste em todas as categorias de bibliotecários e bibliotecários das bibliotecas públicas no noroeste da Nigéria.

Resultados. A confiabilidade é a seguinte: Experiência de Incidente de Desastre = 0,551; Gestão de Risco de Desastres=0,603; Instalações/equipamento de gerenciamento de desastres=0,775; Opinião da equipe = 0,533. Com base no exposto acima, é importante dizer que apenas a instalação de gerenciamento de desastres possui maior pontuação de confiabilidade, enquanto outras são confiáveis satisfatoriamente.

Conclusões. Portanto, será apropriado que essas bibliotecas estejam cientes dos efeitos adversos do desastre. Os resultados gerais demonstraram que as bibliotecas públicas no Norte sofreram desastres em um ponto no tempo ou outro. No entanto, eles não estão totalmente preparados para lidar com desastres, como visto nas respostas.
