Repensando a dimensão informacional do marketing

Resumo

Neste artigo se aborda a dimensão informacional do marketing a partir de uma perspectiva técnica, teórica e do comportamento. Também se aprofunda nas relações entre o marketing e a Biblioteconomia e a Ciência da Informação (BCI). É um estudo exploratorio-descritivo, cujas abordagens qualitativas se realizam mediante a análise documentária clássico. A partir da perspectiva técnica se aborda a presença da informação em todos os processos de gerenciamento do marketing, tanto na pesquisa de mercados como na alaborañáo final do plano de marketing. Na perspectiva teórica se faz alusão às demarcações para o processamento da informação de mercado, a influência da teoria do valor da informação e a aplicação de técnicas provenientes de diferentes áreas de estudo para analisar a informação. Na perspectiva do comportamento se expõem evidências empíricas de comportamento humano informacional dos gestores de marketing e outros atores, a partir das arestas cognitiva e social. Respeito às relações disciplinares, se percebe que o marketing e a BCI compartilham teorias associadas ao comportamento informacional, o gerenciamento de informação e a análise e desenho de sistemas. O enfoque do marcketing é mais notável nos estudos de BCI que em enfoques de BCI sobre estudos de mercado, considerando a literatura analisada. A informação, como vínculoo entre ambas disciplinas, abre um caminho para aprofundar em novos palcos *investigativos, acadêmicos e práticos.
